Bradford, located in West Yorkshire, is a city rich in history and culture. Whether you want to watch the best films, eat the best curry or stay in luxury hotels Bradford will not disappoint. Home to the National Media Museum, Bradford was granted the title of UNESCO City of Films. The museum boasts a collection of over three and a half million items with historical and cultural relevance. Its National Photography Collection includes an archive of photographs from the Daily Herald, between 1911 to mid-1960s. The astonishing three million photographs are an interesting record of local, national and international happening during this era.
Bradford is a film lovers' haven, from Bollywood to Hollywood blockbuster film, watch them in IMAX, located in the National Media Museum and you will undoubtedly enjoy one of the best cinematic experience there is in the country. You can also watch some of the best films in the world during the Bradford Film Festival in March; Bite the Mango in September and the Bradford Animation Festival in November.
As a tourist, whether you are looking for a relaxing walk on the moors, to go shopping or rejuvenate in luxurious spa hotels Bradford will have something for you. About 12 miles from Bradford city is Ilkley Moor, an area that is rich in wild life and great for walking. If you are an avid birdwatcher, Ilkley Moor is a great place to get a glimpse of rarely seen birds such as Cuckoos, although you are more likely to hear them than see them. On the higher ground of the moor, you will most likely see Wheatears. Nuthatches and Tree creepers can be spotted among the trees at edges of the moor. You will also see the more common birds here such as blackbirds, thrushes, warblers and chiffchaffs. In winter, you will also spot the fieldfares and redwings.

The late Jonathan Silver, a friend of David Hockney (a world-renowned artist from Bradford) and an entrepreneur bought Salt Mill, which was originally the alpaca wool mill and transformed it into the 1853 Gallery to exhibit Hockney's work. 1853 Gallery currently houses one of the largest collections of Hockney's artwork. If you love shopping, Saltaire also house some interesting shop including a vintage shop. There is also a regular vintage fare in the nearby Victoria Hall.
If you love West End shows, you don't need to head for London, just head for the city's Alhambra Theatre where you can enjoy some of the best West End shows, musicals, ballets and of course the yearly pantomime show. The city's west end is also a great place to eat out and go clubbing.
While in the city, why not take high tea at Betty's Café and Tearooms, Yorkshires' most famous tearoom with its great selection of coffees, teas and delicious cakes. Of course, don't forget to try all of the curry houses. Bradford is known to have the best curry outside of India.
